Once upon a time...
Once upon a time, there was a girl who loved to dream. She lived inside her head so often that many people believed she missed what went on in the world around her. But she didn't. She saw. And everything she saw, she stored, holding it close, glorying in its beauty. The slanting glow of a sunbeam. The gentle pools of light staining the walls and faces of nearby houses. The weighted electric tension in the air just before a storm.
But as she grew up, she began to realize that while there was beauty in the world, there was also brokenness.
For years she tried to reconcile herself to what she saw. She could not. So instead she imagined a world where people were brave. Where people were kind. Where people were good. Where people fought for what was right. Where people looked around themselves and saw everything she saw - the slanting glow of a sunbeam, the perfect curve of a bird's wing - and where they tried to make the world a better place.
A world of all that was good. All that was beautiful. All that was true.
Living inside her head couldn’t fix the brokenness of the world her body walked in. Retreating into her mind and the places she created did nothing when all around her, imagination was slowly suffocated, and with it, the goodness, truth, and beauty it contained.
A few–a very few–fought for the world she could see. She wanted to join them. To fight for the world she saw, and to make it a reality. But how do you fight the emptiness of today's world, a world where depression rates rise and creativity falls? How do you fight that sucking whirlpool that draws everyone in and fixates them on their own image? How do you fight for a world of what is good, what is beautiful, and what is true?
Her answer was Imagination, and so she set out to share the Imagination she had found. To share her world of goodness, beauty, and truth.
I was that girl. But I am not the only one.
And that little girl wants you to see the same world we do.

I dreamed of a song, I heard it sung
In the ears of my soul its strange notes rung.
What were the words, I could not tell,
Only the words I heard right well.
A voice with a wild melodious cry
Reaching and longing afar and high.
Sorrowful triumph, and hopeful strife,
Gainful death, and new-born life...
